Current Daredevil Kingpin Talks Spider-Man Possibility
I think we all can agree that Spider-Man and Daredevil have quite the long history together, as do Spider-Man and The Kingpin.
Going by the Kingpins legal name, Wilson Fisk made his comic debut in the Amazing Spider-Man issue #50, meaning that he’s more than likely to have always been shared by both the right holders to Daredevil and to Spider-Man; both having the power and authority to use him at the same time.
Although, now that they’re all part of the exact same Marvel Universe, the possibility of us seeing The Kingpin being in the highly anticipated upcoming 2017’s Spider-Man reboot, have greatly been increased.
When speaking to IGN, Vincent D’Onofrio confirmed that although he has “no idea” whether there is currently any plans for a crossover such as that, he did add:
“That would be super-cool, yeah. To be able to kick Spider-Man’s butt would be awesome. But we just don’t know about those things. Those are all the Marvel secrets that they never tell us until they need us, so… Yeah, I would do it. I would do it in second.”
Having The Kingpin show up and facing off with spidey is something that insanely enough has never happened on the big screen. Even though, The Kingpin is the lex luthor to Spider-Man!
We think giving D’Onofrio a fair shot, just might be the refreshing reboot this franchise needs!
