Does Daredevil Have A Civil War Easter Egg?

After Netflix and Marvel’s release of their highly popular new series Daredevil, fans are beginning to speculate that the series is already starting to connect to the modern MCU and its upcoming film Captain America: Civil War.

Although it seems probably unlikely that the two universes are connected, that hasn’t stopped it getting some attention on Reddit.

In one of the seasons scenes (pictured above), there’s a poster that highlights the slogan

“You don’t need to reveal your identity to help solve violent crimes.”

A lot of fans have been speculating that we soon might be seeing Daredevil side with Captain America in the upcoming Civil War film, which in the comics was the story that put Iron Man and Captain America against each other after the latter supported a bill in Congress that would force heroes to unmask and register with the government.

The easter egg obviously is referring to Civil War, but does that mean they’ll merge the universes?

After all, in Marvel’s film universe, Daredevil is the first lead superhero who has utilized his veil to keep up his obscurity, instead of as a feature of their outfits for government superhero occupation.
